Mathy is a creative producer, writer and activist, dedicated to amplifying under-represented and marginalised voices through storytelling.

My passion lies in the intersection of arts and disability activism, with an interest in spotlighting character-driven narratives of disability and illness, and championing stories told through the lenses of our own lived experiences.

With nearly a decade of experience in the film industry and arts sector, I have worked with and consulted for organisations like Sheffield Doc/Fest, The Writers Lab, Independent Cinema Office, Unlimited, Slate/Eclipse, the National Paralympic Heritage Trust and more.

As a disability activist and advocate, I have been featured on BBC television and radio, in national newspapers and on online platforms such as HuffPost, and has been invited to speak in Parliament with Muscular Dystrophy UK.

I have been recognised as a Trailblazer of the Future by Campaign Magazine, for my work in championing diversity in the creative industries, and I am also an alumna of the Rare with Google Leadership Academy.

I believe in the power of diversity in storytelling, and more significantly who we empower to tell those stories. I am always looking to work on impactful projects that move the needle, make positive change or have something unique to say. If that’s something that resonates with you, get in touch.
